IAME USA East is pleased to announce the addition of the new IAME Swift Cup to the 2015 WKA Manufacturer’s Cup Series season. This new class will exclusively utilize the IAME Mini Swift 60cc TAG engine with the Tillotson HW-31A carburetor. The IAME Swift Cup is a WKA local option class, that will be run at all four remaining WKA Manufacturer’s Cup races starting April 17-19th at the GoPro Motorplex in Mooresville, North Carolina. These four races will be counted towards a series championship with the best 3 of 4 races counting towards the points. Points for this class will be administered by IAME USA East and posted the week after the conclusion of each event.
This is a Sportsman class that any Sportsman driver can enter. In addition, since this is a local option class, all rookie drivers that comply with the WKA age requirements may enter this class without affecting their rookie national driver status. This class will provide a great option for rookie drivers to gain valuable TAG 60cc experience without affecting their eligibility and give them a chance to begin competing early with the other TAG Sportsman drivers.
The rules for this class are the same as the current WKA TAG Sportsman rules with regards to age, weight, and chassis specifications, and the engine rules are posted here.
For each race event, the top five will receive trophies and IAME and IAME USA East have stepped up to provide the following awards for the IAME Swift Cup season point championship:
The winner will receive a new IAME Mini Swift engine package and an IAME Swift Cup trophy, 2nd receives a GoPro Hero 3 Silver Camera, 3rd-5th receive Sol Republic headphones, and the top ten receive an IAME hat and tee shirt.
For the remainder of 2015, you can purchase an IAME Mini Swift engine package for $1495 from your local IAME dealer. Engine kit has everything you need to get going, less the battery and engine mount. Please email us at sales@iameusaeast.com with any questions regarding this program.
